I'm sure I will get an srt setup at some point but in happy with my current system so what's the point in changing? Plus I have always been told that srt is for access only?

Bro, SRT work positioning is the future period....all good...ITCC is slowly coming on board allowing the RIG and wrench....

I picked up a fimble saver before coming to oz it's fantastic and solid pretty slick glad I picked it up retrieves really well too. I did consider the pulley and multisaver but use the fimblesaver in SRT applications too

What's people's preferences with the rope guide. The standard one or one with cocoon pulley?

Cocoon , I think it does not jam as much although others may disagree but climbed on a standard for years and got the cocoon last year that's my experience.

I recently got told the cocoon is a bit more fragile when dropping out of the tree. well compared to the standard one.

I made my own cambium saver out of electrical conduit yesterday: poor man's friction saver. It's been done before, of course. I got the idea from a post on another forum.

 

I'll put the rope saver on my wishlist, to be crossed out either when I get one or when I go SRT exclusively.
