Essential skill sewing! Used to make kites a while back. Get an old machine, metal gears, and it will do leather for tool sheaths and even 2 layers of seatbelt for kite noses, and anything else you can throw at it. Made all sorts, so handy.

Lol yep had to do it in military and went on a course to make kit like webbing bergens etc. on tour had a little down time and made my own drop leg spare magazine holder. Still in one piece and use it for carrying my wedges and hatchet 👍
