Pick up tipper

Does anyone know the legal side of having a tipper fitted to a standard 4x4 hilux, l200 etc?

Who needs to be notified does vosa need to test it etc?

I run a ranger tipper but I bought it pre converted, you need to get the v5 changed i assume after that it is a case of getting it mot'd and you're away.

 

Good question though I wonder if mine is all sewn up legally!

Don't forget to tell your insurance company anout the modification.

Send logbook in with change of body type box filled in with the word Tipper

Then ring your insurance & tell the of the modifications and away you go

 

There's no need for an mot as the tipper body & the original body are bolt off / on parts ☺
