I have a zig zag and a spider jack and I'd say the zig zag is the better. Took me nearly a year of using it to finials concede but it is a thing of beauty, self tends so well. Makes movement round the tree really smooth and is just so natural to use. The spider jack is amazing and always will be but for me the zig zag is the best. Also they don't break, it's a myth snowballed by the internet circulated by the Monsanto corporation

I was on a prussic/Blake's for 2 years of collage then about 4 months after then I went to a hitch climber for a maybe 3 months and then spiderjack maybe a year now I've been on the zig zag since the mark 2 came out. Not that long in the grand scheme of things but I do climb up an awful lot of trees in and out of work

ZigZag all the way dude :001_smile: if your using it with the ART rope guide it will be great. The less friction with the ZZ the better and as edwood says self tending is great, I use a samson velocity 11mm and I barely have to tend the rope once I set off  which rope are you on at the minute?

The spiderjack is also good on a pulley for accent however when it comes time to rappel and do your thing swinging about it can be very jumpy and the clutch can burn out with all the friction being on that. The SJ takes more practice than the ZZ to get used to also. If your used to a traditional prussic have you considered a hitch climber or anything?

Hope this helps a bit dude
