Woodpecker

Hello, I'm still new at this and I know it's not a website to promote individual carvings ... But I carved this woodpecker today and while I was at it there was a lot of interest from passers by.... An old piece of diseased oak gives it the pattern, Tung Oil 2 coats and that's it.... Oh and I used the 12mm tool that Shaun made for me at the spirit of Norfolk for the eyes

Many thanks, I appreciate your feedback. I have it on eBay for £75 with 2 watchers at the moment. It will cost you £60 and the postage will be £10 with collect plus.

Did you use the tip of the blowtorch for the feather detail?

No I used the tool for making the eyes ... In my die grinder, but I burned them in at an angle to give a semi circle shape.

 

Shaun from the Spirit of Norfolk made me the tool for the die grinder.
