Care needs to be taken !!

Blade bolts replaced with higher tensile strength seems a good idea !

'Stronger got to be better'

The stronger the more brittle!!

like over tightening results in higher chance possible failure..

I would recommend a very good brand of impact drive which is very effective for removing this type of bolt/screw but last time there name was posted it started a very long thread of for and against!!

What do you mean?

Like most things

If you increase the properties of a material in one area it is decreased in another!

The higher tensile strength the more brittle it becomes

So it's constant load capacity increases but is vibration/shock loading capacity is reduced!

You may fit non standard bolts which may have a different tensile strength higher or loader and save a few pence or even a few quid! BUT if they fail when in use how much damage is going to be cause. How much is it going to cost to put right!

Like some chipper flywheel bearings have steel housings instead of cast as the shock loading can cause the cast to shatter (flywheel at speed jumping out to bite Ya!) or a blade flying out a speed to say hello!!
