I believe early 1996 but not substantiated by datasheets!

At least there was a flywheel change early 1996, at serial number X 33 917 065 - but I don't really know if it is the metal to polymer one. See Attached IPL.

What you really want is of course a 550xp, to avoid the extra bulk, weight etc of the MS261. :001_smile:

Shouldn't you be out pickling herring this time of year?

I've got a 066, bought second hand, probably around '99.

Really great saw, never missed a beat, by way of reference I have a husky 288 and 390, It's as good as either. If it's a good un, I'd say buy it

The serial number is of course interesting - but anyway it will of course be a vibe monster, compared to a 390xp - and it also is a bit heavier. :001_smile:

If both are properly ported, no 066/660 will have a chance vs. a 390xp in the cut, despite they are 4.6cc more - but stock it is of course different, as the 390xp is deliberately detuned.

Not really - I have been fishing a lot earlier, but only for fun, with a reel and rod - and of course never for herring!

I used to build my casting rods myself, with a few exceptions - but the boat rods were "store bought".

Is that beachcasting, done a bit myself, got a couple of Abu Garcia reels - CT3000 Purple and the Gren Mag Elite, fine bits of kit although the CT3000 was always the better caster:thumbup:

I just go to the chipper. Then I bring home the oil and use it as mix with my high octane racing fuels!

Wrong thread I think?

Thot we were talking about using herring for fuel in an 066, no?
