Their has recently been some confusion after i quoted for some tree removals on a site clearance job. Do you sometimes send a drawing and location of trees to be removed when you quote for this kind of job?

If just a domestic quotation for tree work just the name of tree and or trees and location such as rear and or front garden or both if required. if it's a site clearance job and there are many tree's and of different spieces it would be a good idea to do a site plan for your records and for your clients. It doesn't have to be to scale just the position and name of each tree which the work is specified to be carried out on. Then you and your client can have a site meeting and discuss the plan and go over it so you both know exactly what works on what tree is to be carried out. Get him to sign it and keep a copy. Just saves any confusion if anything goes wrong. Sweet

Unless it's everything on a site with clear boundaries, I ask for a site plan/topographical plan. There's usually one available. Convert from a PDF (on Zamzar), open in Paint and mark every tree that's being felled. That's what we're quoting for. No confusion on either parties part.

Even if you get it wrong and miss a tree or group out, the client has the opportunity to ask you to amend the quote before acceptance.
