Tajfun Chain Oil Pipe Worn Through

Anyone had this happen? Bit annoyed tbh, machine is less then 2yrs old and hasnt done a stupid amount of wood. And doesnt look likr the pipe is rubbing on anything?!

Really surprised at that does not look like there's anything for it to rub through very strange

Just learnt my friends machine has done exactly the same thing. Do it cant rub on anything, I think it twists with each downward movement of the saw. Only noticed when I took the little cover off, which I very rarely do

Hard to tell 100% in photos but actually looks like maybe been pinched rather than worn but either way it's hard to see what it's came into contact with.

My first on did it, phoned kilworth and the next day had one in post under warranty

I might give Kilworth a ring tomorrow seeing its a common thing, its not under warrenty but worth a go...?!

If you need to get a pipe made it's worth getting one with PTFE lining, super tough and should put up with more twisting/pulling:thumbup1:

design fail, i would replace with a longer pipe that would be pushed and pulled instead of twisted, if space allows

Exact same thing happens to the older machines too. I replaced my one quite some time ago and dealer said the previous owner was always breaking the pipe on it.
