New to chainsaw use, can you recommend a trainer?

Hello everyone.

I'm looking for some advice, maybe a recommendation or two, for somewhere to get some proper training in the use of chainsaws. I bought a log burner last year and want to be able to cut my own wood.

At the moment I'm using an Aldi Electric chainsaw I received as a gift last Christmas. I've also bought some PPE - trousers, gloves, boots, glasses. There is a chance I'll be buying a real 'saw. Regardless, I feel the need to get some recognised training in their use and maintenance.

I'm in Liverpool and a few days of searching the internet (and this forum) I've got a few possible training providers on my list:

Myserscough (Seems to be frequently recommended.)

Morgan Training Services (The closest? But I don't know anything about them.)

Chainsaw Training with Phil Dunford (Mentioned a few times on this forum. But would require being away from home for a week, with associated room & board costs.)

There are a few other training providers listed on the LANTRA website, but I'd rather benefit from the experiences of people that have first hand knowledge, than take pot luck like you would when choosing a window fitter from the Yellow Pages.

Thanks in advance
