Hi Mike

if you want the video of the kv tester pm me your email and i will send you a copy it show it being used to test a chainsaw if i remember correctly also i see you like kt12 kwacker engines i have 2 for spares / repairs i am going to list them on fleebay later

Done! Repaired HT lead and new ignition module. Great spark and fired up-after I grounded the module. The spark tells me the coil must have been ok - so issue must have been points or condenser? Points I'd cleaned and filed although gap size was a guess. Is there a test for a condenser? Cheers 2 B's.

got 2 of the kt12s if you are interested so the sic1 module did the trick on the spark

 

yes you can test condensers but you need a tester for this or try the capacitance range on a multimeter if your meter has this range
