Question

Well might need my chain saw sooner than later (joke :laugh1:). But jus a quick question we have a tree that sort of forks about 10ft up half going one way the other the other way. In the winds we have had half blew down luckey into a garden. The thing is, is the other half now more likely to blow down this could go in to a road or the Inn. Will try and post pic.

A photo of the remaining canopy would be a help.

It will depend on where all the weight is, prevailing winds and the extent of damage caused by the failure - to name but a few.

Maybe a piccie of the other side of the tree, showing the damage.

I suspect you will get lots of good advice.

Also, where are you ?

It will be weakened but not necessarily by so much that it needs removal. I suggest your first move should be to have it assessed by a good arborist.

In assessing trees, the first thing we are taught to look at is the target; that is, what the tree will fall on if it does fall. If that's something of high value to you, then certainly get it sorted.
