lister diesel chipper

Those LPA engines were delightfully uncomplicated but could blow head gaskets fairly easily if the covers weren't removed and the fins blown out.

We used then for a few years and the were rated at about 25hp. Take the head off, flat it down on a sheet of emery on a flat service, fit new gasket and pushrod tubes then tighten it down! Nowt hard tbh as each pot was separate thing - all you need is torque settings and valve clearance distance. I don't think that expensive stretch bolts were required!

Come monday, ring GreenMech on 01789 400044 and press 2 when prompted then ask Mac or Jason if they can remember who their nearest agent was or google Lister and contact them.

An industrial diesel engine firm or a boatyard could help out if you cannot do it yourself.

Good luck with it - make sure that the infeed chute complies with HSE before you go to war with her!

looks like a Dosko but doesn't have the lower latching bar fitted, it was a retrofit to make the chute comply. Kim at Danequip in Bordon may still supply them.
