Ah yes, that happened to me, a massive warren, they were popping out everywhere.

I can't find any hard facts about the "£100 per hectare per year for five years".

Not being sarcastic, I kept ferrets and worked at a fishery where mink were an issue.

All the mustelids fascinate me, I was lucky enough to see a wild polecat and pine marten on holiday recently.

They are all clever resourceful little hunters.

Many of them overlap prey wise, and how they deal with each other is interesting.

I watched one dragging a rabbit across a field and into a hedge once, the rabbit was at least three times it's size. I thought once it went into the ditch it was done but it dragged it up the other side and away. There were plenty of stops for a breather but it didn't give up.

We have shot loads on my small wood last year and there is still loads of them. On top of that we have the glis glis. Hate the dam things.
