try the easy rout first check for warm heater pipes if not remove a heater hose and crank the engine that will confirm waterpump is pumping water throw a new thermostat in if it does not reach running normal running temps and also try flushing your cooling system with a cup of automatic washing powder with hot water mixed pour into you cooling system and run for min 3 days/week then flush it again refill with 50/50% water antifreeze

 

all this advice will do your motor good so your not wasting time or money hope this helps PS add more washing powder 25% if you have hardwater it wont do any harm to your cooling system mostly used this idea when headgasket/oil cooler has gone and oiled the cooling system up or you have rusty dirty water in your cooling system
