Why an arc for height, to show targets?

 

Is the polygon of 4 compass points for crown spread simple or do you use interscting arcs from the stem?

 

Does the rpa follow similar rules to the old NJUG10?

 

It looks like a simple spreadsheet based on the xy coordinates could generate the above into a mapmaker layer and shading done by a style number based on the category.

 

Sorry, should've been more clear - the arc is for a rough approximation of the shade cast.

The crown spread is supposed to be fairly accurately represented, so generally a rough circle following the compass points measurements will suffice.

The rpa is specific to bs5837, and is based on the stem diameter, although it has some quirks with multi-stemmed trees.

Maybe with if you're good with that sort of thing you could set up a map maker thingumajig to do plot them automatically. Being a technodunce I just use Pear Tech's pt mapper!
