Going to have a look next week will take some pics. Think they will be what I call a Coppard. That's something between a coppice and a pollard or is that just another Somerset saying?

The term 'coppard' is fairly ubiquitous and you are absolutely right it refers to trees that have been coppiced then later pollarded.

 

The pic below is a coppard in Epping Forest (admittedly it's not the best example)

We need a dictionary of crud combination words!

We could get like IT and nobody outside out industry the would understand us.

 

We could refer to Crustomers - ex customers who gave us problems.

Or Thumbags - Individuals who misunderstand ownership issues.

 

No doubt the list id endless.
