Full time climber pay

Evening Chaps,

What's the going rate for a good full time climber, five years under his belt, own climbing gear but no other tools etc, employed by a company and subject to PAYE? Asking beacuse I want to pay my guy a fair rate.

I would offer £28-30k if they were good time keepers, presentable and muck in with all of the work. I'm based in the south east if that effects my answer?

Thanks Rhystree - I'm in Herts so SE rates are relevant. He's a good, reliable guy and joins in with everything (after a couple Red Bulls!).

I'm currently paying £24-£25k to both my climbers but they want a pay rise

A £9k pay rise, sounds like he should be an MP, does he put his duck pond house on expenses too!

 

I would say anywhere between £95 and £110 a day for a good climber who also leads a team and undertakes all works from hedge trimming to crane and mewp work
