How do you store wood hip in ibcs?

 

Dry the woodchip below 20% MC then put woodchip into IBC bottle with top chopped off. Then either tip out with pallet rotator or suck out with vacuum hose.

They hold liquid OK, so chip should be easy.

 

So your going to put chip in a plastic container and dry it please explain???

Bottles are bolted through the floor of the IBC so that when rotated they do not fall out. By retaining the frame you can store 4 high.

When there empty I can stack 5 high but normally stick to 4 due to the high winds we get.

 

As for selling are you on about the empty IBC or how much we sell for with split logs or woodchip in them.

Dont normally sell IBC's although I did have over 100 in storage that I needed to move quickly so offered on here at 15 per IBC including joiners offcuts but ended up shifting the majority myself. Unfortunately people now realise there is a market for used IBC's so good cheap IBC's are proving difficult to find.

Which firm did you use that stack two high???

 

Most firms with curtainsiders stack 2 high, 5-600 + vat haulage.

Your local fab shop could make them for what your going to pay for them once the transport is payed.
