attempted theft Glasgow

Some scum made a bold attempt to steal our chainsaws in glasgow earlier today.

 

The guy was driving a red and white single cab transit tipper registration W158HKV. The name on the side and back of the van had 'tree solutions' written in white with a mobile number.The van was half red and half white. It had angled 3/4 length high sides. The tipper body is red and has a spare wheel ratchet strapped onto the 1/4 length roof on the front of the tipper body.

 

It was a bold attempt. While having lunch, parked on a side road, the guy passed us 3 times stopping twice. He stopped a third time on darnley road in barrhead further up the road, jumped the wall and sneaked through the woodland to try steal over 5k worth of saws. Luckily i knew he was up to something the second time he passed and kept my eye out. 5 mins later i spotted him from my van, sneaking through the woodland and hiding behind a tree 15 ft frm the kit. After a chase he jumped into the van, got stuck on the verge and reversed onto the live carriage way before speeding off and giving me the tosser sign out the window!

 

keep a look out for this guy. It was a seriously bold attempt on a busy road not any further that 30ft frm where we were sitting. I believe this guy would take a chipper in the blink of an eye.

 

If you know who this is or have any info, let me know or let police scotland know.

Thats not on at all what a bunch of scum bags, not to sure if this is much help but you might be able to find something about the van. I work in the glasgow area so i might see these guys running about.

Good job you realised what was going on.

Surely the police can find the van though (if they really wanted too)

Tried entering the reg no and there is no trace of the van

just wonder if it the same guy that chapped on my parents door asking "who cut your tree down" and do you want a price for taken the rubbish away" and when my dad explained it was me and him that done it and we will get rid of the rubbish ourselves he asked "any scrap metal?
