Hi all, over the past year I've been keeping tabs on who is viewing my website and where from etc!! There is viewings obviously in the uk! But there is 30-40% of the overall viewings coming from America! I just found it rather strange!?

I also have an outdoor pursuits instructing business and I've found the same with my website for that. Often South America. Also West Africa. I'm assuming it's dodgy SEO companies looking for companies to spam.

I don't use adwords anymore, didn't think it worked for me, but when I did I selected the only 15mile radius in the settings!

 

What I meant was if you used adwords you generally get at least one visit a day from the usa adword bot checking the link to your site

Ah rite, well I used to use it! But today I've had 3 viewings from USA!

its the CIA's robots which can rack up viewings from the other side of the pond, nothing to be concerned about as they scan everyone's periodically.

 

Either that or them there Americans are trying to learn from the best of the best!

We get quite a lot of american visitors to our site, but we have a .com address - your website is obviously very findable! Good SEO? or same name as an american company perhaps? :)
