I guess some treecutters have trouble with the internet, but many webers would have trouble cutting a tree!

 

Some can do both to a lesser or greater degree.

Tried "Copy to my device" and waited 10mins., then it timed out. I didn't see the point in trying again.

 

By the way, I can cut a tree but also remember the first pocket calculators going on sale. So you'll have to forgive my lack of knowledge in some disciplines.

Is that from the link I sent you? You should just have to click on "Chainsaw Lumbering" and it asks you whether you want to save or open it. Click save then retrieve it from your downloads file once it has completed downloading.

A simple click on link should have done it, then click on link on opened page... no copy to Device stuff.....

 

Yep when I was at school they brought a calculater into the class & shoud it to us... the school had bought 1 for £400!

 

5 years later they were free in boxes of cornflakes...

I saw this thread last year and was tempted to buy Chainsaw Lumbermaking but it was pretty expensive. Just noticed that this book was reprinted last month and a paperback edition is now available for about £35 including postage.

Malloff's book is brilliant well worth the investment. One of the most readable technical books I have ever read.
