what size thread is a chainsaw spark plug? reason being i want to get a compression tester and want to make sure i get the right size

 

just dont ask why :scared1: it involves a rash purchase and ebay :scared1:

TBH I would save the cash from buying a compression tester I dont think that they are that good at giving a good reading on 2 strokes.

 

I remember trying one on a 020 that was knackered but it still gave a decent reading 150 psi iirc compared to something like 170 psi on a good one.

 

If the saw cant hang from the pull cord for at least a second or 2 then drop fairly slowly then it probably needs looking at.

 

Just whip the barrel off and have a look.
