That cant be right

And the majority of this thread was based on that assumption

Sorry Andy, can only pass on the information I have been given. The property on the other side has informed us that the gentleman that did the work has now passed away. If he was a 'tree person' of some description that I don't know. It certainly looks if the previous 'cuts' did have some knowledge.

The 'work' carried out on this tree is recent, within this year, which fits with the lady owner dying...... The 'worker' must have passed very recently if that is the case.

The homeowner of the 'Chestnut' apparently had been asked on numerous occasions to prune this and others on boundary trees and refused.

The new owner, who is the client, wants this and other (mainly Conifer) removing.

Hi Steve

The point I was trying to make was that many of the comments in this thread were based on the OPs assumption

Its worth noting that the alleged offender had asked for the tree to be pruned, it sort of puts the comments about upsetting the bereaved family in a different light

Always 2 sides to a story

So it's ok for your good self to have an opinion but not for others to make assumptions? Opinion: a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge... Assumption: something taken for granted or accepted as true without proof...

Have nice day
