Chinese Oak Tree removal

Hello

 

I have a 100 year old Chinese Oak tree in my garden which is now getting on for around 50-60 feet tall which is causing problems with leaves blocking guttering of mine and neighbours house.

 

Is the wood from this tree of any use other than firewood?

 

I would appreciate your advice before I do anything, but either way it's got to go

I have just got a local arborist to look at the tree and he said it is definitely a eucalyptus tree and said exactly same its too big to be that close to a house and we have scheduled it for felling Saturday morning

Don't worry, at least you got there in the end and sought out extra advice

Great too see a homeowner using a bit of common sense and doing there homework first,great result has this could proved horribly expensive has it sounds has if you were being led up the garden path somewhat with the rare tree .

No harm done and best to strike soon. I've got a three year old one that is 15 foot tall. Yours may only be 30-40 years old and will probably get twice that size eventually. Act now!!
