My feeling is it is a little on the low side, but like you said there will always be someone else willing to take your place.

My advice would be to get your tickets, it's the only way you will progress

Ah, "self employed" has no minimum wage, that's down to you IMO. I also feel he should be employing you properly, and paying NI and taxes. And should be paying you at least min wage as an employee. Either sort it, or leave.

£90 per day as subby groundie no tickets but 25 years experience on the saws and also able to drive tractors etc. hopefully going to make another attempt to get my tickets soon the 3 times I've booked on the course in the past its been cancelled for one reason or another.

I think as a groundy dragging branches and chipping raking etc should be £60 full time employment, then and experienced groundy all of the above but hedgcutting, lowering, standard driving licence and ariel rescue £70 then second climber and all of the above £80 or £85 with a towing licence

I go subby for a firm and charge £100 a day with my climbing kit and saw! 10 years experience, but it's not everyday I'm climbing, I can be hedge trimming one day climbing the next!

Yeah £80 climbing 1-2 times a week still learning but main job is groundy experience and learning all the time

 

Not this is full time employment I'm not sure as a subby
