You are barking up the wrong tree - if you want wood to dry fast - no more than 1 metre blocks - no ifs or buts. Good luck.

On reflection why is that then ? 1 mtr blocks!

There are many individuals on the Forum who have been air drying firewood for many years and have freely given their advice to others on the Forum.

The general concensus is - 1m3 blocks are best for many reasons.

Firewood is sold in this volume.

Economics demand wood is containerised.

Drying wood is all about air changes surrounding it.

Smaller volumes better but impractical.

I soon realised that this is one of the great things about the Forum - the generosity of others.

I use 1.7 cube log boxes, and the wood drys fast, no ifs or buts.

I also use a Posch Packfix, making 1.6 cube nets, and the wood drys very fast, no ifs or buts
