at work we have a pto cm 220 that has a problems with the top feed roller, basicly it is struggling and sometimes stopping under load ie big bunch leyland.

i tried to swap the top and bottom hyd motors around but couldn't because of work done on the botton roller meant top motor spline didnt quiet fit.

so anything i could check????

thanks carl

stick a test gauge on it and get som pressures would be the first approach if the motor has 3 hoses on it the smallest one will be case drain check the amount of flow under load if its 2 hoses blank both ports and try to turn the shaft with a pair of stilsons if it turns easy your motors goosed failing that blank off the end of the hose and stick a test point in them check the pressures that will give you max relief pressure

i checked the splines on the top and there fine, and the bottom roller splines have been replaced so are ok, there does seem to be some play in the top feed roller bearing , but would not think it enough to stop it going round?

thanks carl
