Volume of wood round and split?

I'm currently trying to change yards into a smaller space, and wandering if I can squeeze all my wood into a space if we process it first, does anyone have a rough formula etc for how much less space a pile of timber will take up once cut and split to help me work out of it's going to be doable?

It does compact but can't give you the ratio

1 cubic metre of stacked roundwood when split into logs will occupy 0.8 cu m if stacked or 1.4 cu m in a heap
