Saying hello

Hi guys

It is another bloody newbie i am afraid.

I stumbled across the forum whilst surfing and the humour seemed on a par to my own so i figured it seemed like a good idea to sign.

A very brief introduction to myself. I run a small specialist timber supply business. I deal mostly in the supply of various timbers to the musical trade in fairly low volume. I buy and source timber in the around and import figured maples etc from the states.

Thats all that said. Anyhow if i can be of use to anyone here with advice with marketing their timber or advice on the conversion of it making it more appealing to the end user i am happy to offer free advice. Over the last few years more and more mills are closing throughout the country and a lot of small mobile units are trying to fill the gap left. Unfortunatly these sometimes suffer due to the lack of knowledge of knowing what to cut for who to make it most appealing.

Anyway if i can help or you are looking to sell something that is rather special then please get in touch.

I do on occasion have the need for teams to remove butts for me so maybe we can help each other.

Andy

howdy mate, interesting stuff. if you can find a use for a big horible pam tree this monday i would appreciate it, it is about 3 foot acrooss the base and totally rotten and goes multi stemmed after 10 feet. give me a call and we can negotiate a price and you can organise the uplift. if you could pay me in cash so the tax man doesnt find out that would be great, crisp 50's are my favourite. just put it in the lorry and the driver can pass it on. mums the word:001_tongue:

Like i said it is the humour that attracted me. It was timber not grass i was referring to:001_smile:

Anyway if anyone is interested in selling butts or providing leads thats fine just send me some details. Other than that if you are in the process of or about to plank up some butts of whatever and were wondering who best to target with the resulting timber then i am happy to help.

I myself really stick to figured butts, burrs etc of a cross section of species.

Nice try with the palm, you might catch yourself a woodturner:001_smile:
