I have got a 23hp B&S on my sawmill, and wished i had a Honda, until i was informed that there were 2 kinds of B&S and the kind i have got is as good if not better than Honda. As far as kohler are concerned, steer well clear of Flat twins, my chipper used to have one, very bad.

Onan made a real good dependable opposed twin which was used on welders etc .I have no idea if they still do or not . Very interesting ignition .It used a twin battery coil like the old Harleys .

I have no idea if Kohler is made any where other than Kohler Wisc ,US of A .They used to be considered one of the better air cooled small engines .Real expensive however for repair parts but I suppose about everything is .

Lots of small engines a person could choose from .Kawasaki makes them, many others .
