Seem to have an excess of split ash firewood accumulating. Dont know if i have time or tenacity to sell to end user. Just wondering if any suppliers buy from third parties?

All depends on cost and what sort of quality. Haulage costs would kill it above 75 miles unless a 44 tonner loaded.

Probably get more of an uptake asking the same question in January when a lot of folk have sold out.

Its all to the quality i would expect if i was buying. All same length, 9 - 9 1/2 inches. Anything over about two and a half inches have been split. Was cut last winter and stacked in round timber since.

Is there such a thing as an industry standard for firewood. Like iso 9001 or something but for firewood.

Good advice. Might hang on to it for a bit longer.

Yes there is a proposed standard, think its bring driven by the Renewable Energy Association.

From experience third parties will want to pay cord wood prices so they have a 100% mark up. Better to put it in builders bags and let the public hand ball it in their car boots when the snow comes.
