Hi,

Does anyone know of "a man in Ireland" who allegedly has bought up loads of spares for discontinued Stihl chainsaws?.

I'm after a chain brake band and the tiny rubber seals for the oil pump drive shaft on an 028 AV super. Also need a barrel and piston for an 034 but I see pattern ones of these on ebay pretty cheaply.

I have used the non gen patten pot and pistons from ebay and there spot on, i have no worries about using non gen parts.

Sorry, I might have been a bit vague with my post!.:blushing:

Yes, I'm happy to go with the pattern pot'n piston but I wonder if anyone knows of a (UK preferably) source for the smaller bits and pieces for these older saws?. I did hear a story that a man in Ireland had more or less cornered the market.

An option for that 034 could be an 036 top end ,which is a direct bolt on .Baileys -US has them $109 US funds what ever that figures out to .I have no idea what the shipping would be but US airmail is the cheapest on the planet .
