ArboriculturalistSalary £18,270 to £19,998 p.a.

 

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within Worcester City Council’s Arboriculture Team. We are looking for an experienced Arborist who is both physically fit, used to working outdoors and has knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm of modern arboriculture.

 

we are looking for a person with the qualifications and relevant experience to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be part of a small team working in and around the local authority boundaries maintaining the City’s tree stock.Duties will include pruning, crown reductions, pollarding, storm clearance and tree planting. You will respond to enquiries by the general public, inspecting tree stock for health and possible defects. You will be responsible for general maintenance of chainsaws and associated machinery.

 

This a full time post, 37 hours a week.You will be required to pass a disclosure check regarding spent and unspent convictions and cautions before commencing work. If you disclose any information you will be treated fairly and will not be discriminated against. Closing date for applications is Friday 3rd July and interviews will involve a climbing assessment and basic identification test, held on 5th and 6th August.

Hey john...,

I'm practically your neighbour mate I'm an arborist for wyre forest district council, I'm not looking for work( unless it's nicer to work in Worcester) but know sombody within our authority with cs units 30,31,36,38,39,40,41, mewp tickets(including working with a saw from mewp) lantra chipper etc etc, he works as a senior supervisor at the mo but really wants to do tree work fulltime, lives in kiddy, and is in partnership with me for our small run weekend arb business. Would he me the kind of guy your seeking mate...?

hey john, would be cool to pop in in august to see the comparison between NZ LA and uk LA if thats ok with you? my brother lives in powick so ill be spending a bit of time near your work areas anyway.
