I would recommend using a K2EP long life complex grease normally

See below!

K2EP Lithium Complex Grease

K2EP is a premium quality multi-purpose lithium complex grease for lubricating all anti-friction and plain bearings for use in industrial and automotive applications. This highly adhesive grease has shown exceptional performance providing extended lubrication intervals, even under arduous conditions and over wide operation temperature range.

Features

• Exceptional mechanical stability extends relubrication intervals.

• Excellent oxidation stability provides lasting lubrication at high temperatures.

• Excellent EP and anti-wear performance.

• Good corrosion resistance protects components operating in wet conditions.

Applications

K2EP has been developed for use in wheel and other bearings and as a multipurpose grease for cars, vans, trucks, buses, coaches and construction plant such as bulldozers, scrapers, loading shovels and dump trucks where it will give outstanding performance. It is also recommended for use in industrial equipment operating at high temperatures.

As with all greases used for the first time, check compatibility with the grease applied previously and if necessary purge bearings prior to application. Likewise, as a general rule, take care not to over-lubricate and apply the quantity of grease recommended by the bearing manufacturer.

Operation temperature range -20ºC to +150ºC

Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!

As said lithium complex I prefer the red stuff as u can see it easier so dont seem to get covered init accidentally unlike the uncoloured ones that seem to end up everywhere

The blue complex grease is for extreme pressure applications eg pivot pins of a loader or digger subject to very high shock loading

Hence it carry's a higher cost

If only being used for general and bearing use - use the red and save some money!

Red & Blue lithium grease are the same price here.

That means they must be over charging for the red grease !!!

Lithium complex grease is exactly that chaps. It can be dyed any colour of the rainbow. There is no difference.

What you must watch for is the spec of the grease, not the colour.

We stock 12-14 different colours/grades of grease at any point, varying from just over £1/tube to over £20/tube.

The point being however, grease and oil are cheaper than steel and if you use a known brand you will certainly get what you pay for.

Fuchs Renolit using the reiner cartridges or John deere grease guard premium using the lube shuttle cartridges, conventional grease guns are rubbish in comparison.
