Just been offered one of these and was wondering what are they worth and are they any good for small stumps.

Its old but not had a lot of work. But will I think need new teeth or sharpening. Looks decent condition from when i saw it.

I've got one. I think i gave 800 for it. Keep it sharp and it will do fine. We do stumps upto 1 foot with it although have done a couple at 18 inch. Its not quick and the blades are a quadrent type thing so are expensive. Ebay has some at 200 quid from England or import from America for 90. We lift ours on the van with two of us. Only downside is the handle doesn't adjust. If the price is right they aren't bad

Had one for quite a few years, excellent, just know its limitations.

Paid about £1400, 8yrs ago, needed to take out 30 conifers on a huge rock garden with no access so chose this one.

The biggest problem is lack of weight (only bought it for lightness!!) so it tends to walk backwards whilst grinding.

We have other bigger machines, Danequip and Vermeer sc252, but this one is very useful.

KEEP IT SHARP:thumbup:
