My dad who is a retired joiner enjoys doing the odd project and recently has made a small coffee table....

all the pieces were cut by hand, the attention to detail is excellent.

he is thinking on making some to sell, what sort of price do think it could make??

I've no idea of cost but they are excellent; real works of art.

I guess cost comes down to how much time your dad spent on it x his hourly rate, plus material costs plus a fair chunk for his knowledge and experience.

to work it out like that the cost would be well over a sensible retail price I think.

I was thinking along the lines of £200

dose that seem fair???

I think that's more than fair; if this is what your dad knocks up in his retirement, I don't think he'll be sitting around twiddling his thumbs, I would imagine the commissions will come rolling in..

thanks for the kind comments

Bloody gorgeous, £200 is selling it far too cheap! Sell as you mean to go on, high price and quality, low volume. I think £500 would be cheap, many hours and skill/machine use gone into those!
