What tablet?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Im going to run my company digitally to save on paper and time! I would love to go with Apple but they are to expensive and too powerful for what we need! I have three teams so I want to buy a tablet for each team leader so I can communicate with them and they can have all of there paperwork before and after photos etc...

Just want your info on good tablets out there?

Many Thanks

If at all possible I would hold off on the purchase until you can afford the iPads/iPad mini .

Whilst I accept Apple is a highly priced product you could look at buying the iPads direct from Apple as refurbished units saving approrox 14% of each unit and still comes with apple gurantee. Further extend each unit gurantee with apple care.

Over the life expectancy of the products you will still be able to have equity within the product as most Apple products hold onto their value somewhat crazy. Depreciation with Apple products is at a minimum.

I would argue the iPads would save you money in the long run over a three year period.

Buying an overpowered machine now pays dividend long term and will prevent your team leaders from cussing you. If you buy the minimum and cheapest machine now I would say that your digital dream could become a digital nightmare.

Data synchronisation and complete data back up simply works with an ipad. Loose/damage the machine and all is not lost. Insurance supplies a new machine, you simply add your personal details and the new machine is simply restored. Simples!

Productivity side the ipad would provide the greatest return on investment. As you will have your team leaders warming to your digital office and the Apple products simply do just work out of the box.

(In another life I had a lot of experiance with communications).

Am I an apple fan boy? I was but now I think some of their mojo has been lost and I am still pissed at buying the ipad 3 cellular for Apple to then simply wash their hands of the ipad three and launch the ipad 4 only six months down the line!

I have broke the screen twice on my ipad in side a griffen survivor case and I will now be putting it up on ebay with a damaged screen. Maybe I will get 200£ for it? All in all a very very expensive outlay two years ago but it has been a great little work horse.:thumbup1:

Oh and bofore everybody flames me I and my company are now stuck in the Apple echo system. Some days this pisses me off but on the whole you pay for what you get and yes I do accept the 30% price premium on apple products is worth while especially over the life of the product.
