Rather a flat area that contacts the outside of the bar in the proper area.

The side plates inside the clutch cover block the oil from coming out on the 041 mounts(the bottom hole fits the adjuster while the top one oils).

Also - Oregon/Husqvarna, unless you got a GB made for Husky bar, Oregon makes all Husqvarna chainsaw bars.

Basically what I said, and true.

That is only partially true - Husky has a bar factory (in Norway) that make a lot of the bars.

What stops the oil from going straight through the bar if it uses the tensioner hole ?

The cast alloy or plastic oblong raised bits around the bar stud holes in the clutch cover it blanks off the outer side of the adjuster hole, with this type bar setup if you poke a thin piece of wire in the hole you should be able to see the wire by looking in the bar groove.

Yes, there has to be an opening between the adjuster hole and the groove, of course.

Oregon do not make ALL Husky bars they have had their own bar plant for a few years, if you know what to look for the difference is easily identified.

Yes, except it isn't about "a few years", but rather a few decades. :001_smile:
