LOLER inspector??

Anyone know of where I can get trained to be a LOLER inspector? Preferably in the south?

Capel manor do a course but it is bloody hard as its not just climbing kit. It covers any lifting or lowering kit so all lifting slings cables pullys etc

Sadly not as hard now as lantra do an ita one. (Integrated training and assessment)

But tbh it should be hard if you don't know enough about kit

If you know kit and all that it's relatively straight forward

Would suggest going on nptc site and look for assessment centres and then click on websites.

Tkf training up in Yorkshire run them but that is up north

I'm not an "anti" LOLER bod, but I will challenge the accepted norm. There'll be folks out there climbing on crap kit and blissfully unaware just because it's got an in date ticket. That's the trouble with "systems", they have a tendency to lull the unsuspecting into a false sense if security.

I was having a poke at the arb industry in general (then I thought better of it after last nights LOLERfest and deleted my post).

 

10 out of 10 for doing the quote thingy though, otherwise you post would have looked very strange indeed!
