The Mighty and Wise Holy Google teaches us that it is most likely derived from/associated with the weapon, Pike. As used to "encourage" to move unwanted travelling people on their way...

For me the trouble with that signage is it's too boring.

Just words no pictures. Doesn't catch the eye.

It's the picture or drawing that pulls the eye then read the writing.

.plus there's no name so it's difficult to know who you are.

Like with books, just look at the pictures?

 

I get what your saying, as I say, just a temp measure. when i get my trailer sorted I will get a matching set of signage for all my vehicles with pictures/photos.

 

I will see if they make an arb colouring book for you Mountain man!
