Katelorizo Is, Greece

A remote island 2 miles from Turkey and subject to sea winds. Originally inhabited with 15000 people pre-1916 but now only 300 residents remain. Having swapped ownership from Venetian, French, Ottoman, British it now remains in Greek ownership.

 

Again Black Pine, Olive, Fig and Holm Oak dominated the scenery. All a little sparse but Mulberry grew in the narrow streets.
