Really annoys me when auctioneers mislead the public with there headline description. If you look at the description of the pellet press it is only rated at 0.5 tonne capacity which is a big difference to 2.5 -3,0 tonne.

Cant see anything about the press on the web generally either.

Does not look like its been used in its current location.

Think you will find the press was originally designed for animal feed and now trying to be used for wood pellets. Would make a good door stop or weigh it in for scrap.

I did a lot of research 6 years ago with a view to setting up a pelleting plant, at the time UK and European consumption was 30% less than production capacity so you need a CHP plant next door to burn the excess production.

Hence the reason my pelleting plant is mothballed.

Lot of money to be tied up doing nothing, cant see situation getting any better. Pellets have almost doubled in price since then but stock material is now having to be purchased rather than being paid to take it away.

At the time a mate of mine was paying £250 a week to have a walking floor trailer of sawdust removed.
