I have an old entec 150 chipper, great old machine but now not blowing out very well, no blades are broken on the fan, could it be that the fan is just worn and needs to be replaced ? it did used to blow right to the back of the truck but now has a problem and will get blocked up easy. any help would be gratefully received.

Ok. Thanks for your help,

my machine has the old type fan, so will order the parts it's not a big job just a bit puzzled, but thinking about it, it has been getting worse over the last couple of years. the fan blades have lasted a long time and not broken 7 years. but don't put anything bigger than 3'' through it as all other goes to logs. old machine but love it just keeps working, no stress release no complications, living in France no problem. will keep rebuilding it.

All fans are present and correct ? As said before make sure there is no other obstruction in the way . I have seen a video on you tube where a guy bolts rubber flaps to the fans to increase the chip projectile ? Don't forget your fans are aluminium :001_smile:

Depending on what age it is they upped they pulley size as well to increase speed and draft.

Had mine changed from old fans to new and pulley as well and was like a different chipper

Hi All,

Belts are tight, anvil was new when I replaced the bearings last year,

All fan blades are there, going to take it apart tomorrow might try to update it with new type fan blades and pulley if it made that much difference. will see.
