walnut timber wanted - green

Hi all,

 

Just on the off chance - if anyone within a 50 mile or so radius of Gloucester has recently cut any Walnut, or is planning to in the near future, I would be very interested in buying the timber.

 

Must be straight grained sections, anything over 6" long and straight considered. Diameter not so important as long as its more than 6" or so. Must have some decent heartwood colouring!

We are taking down a large Walnut, starting Monday in Sherston, I will find out what's happening with the timber.

Glad you're enjoying your job. Had an reasonable May,was dead last year, but rushed off my feet now. Most of the jobs are good ones, so I'm happy. In Glos next week, not worked in the city before! Do I need a passport to leave the forest?😀.

Best take it just incase, but more importantly don't forget your jabs. But depends where your working, keep kit safe .
