Which winching rope?

Its true that polly is bad on heat but if you think that's bad spend a lot more an dyneema and you will have the same problem.

 

Heat only builds up when the knot isn't dressed properly or it slips on a turn. Like any tool, treat it within its limits and it will serve you well.

Well if using LOLER expired kit is OK to pull stuff over for Bob, I am willing to continue with my tried and tested.

 

 

As long as it's to assist and you use wedges to prevent it going back

And all depends on usage and storage as well really
