As the title says folks, it's a very clean FS410c Brushcutter 2012 model.

Runs for 5-10 minutes beautifully then just dies (sounds like it's flooding) then promptly dies. Cools and off she goes again.

Got a spark, plugs clean, not junk in the tank or the carb, I put a new spark plug in, fuel filter..

Stihl the problem persists! Anyone had any similar problems? Thanks in advance

Sounds like a coil!! Or the plug!!!

You could try -

1.Change the plug

2.Have a (known to be good & working) spare plug to hand,

Run it to it stops,

And then check to see if there is a spark with the spare plug (screw driver can be good hold and earth the plug with)

3. Disconnect the coil eathing/stop wire as this could be shorting/earthing somewhere.

That should lead you down the right path..

Is it a chipper, is it a mower or another broken stump grinder who cares we'll fix it!

Fuel tank breather? Does loosening the cap make any difference? If not coil sounds a strong contender - when it dies and is hot check the spark quality.

That would mean dropping the exhaust off the to sport the score marks on the piston.. But once that baby's scratched it won't be restarting!!!
