Everybody is always so observant. Yes there seem to be more negative than positive for the HC in my opinion. I am so much faster with a traditional split tail Blake climbing system.

 

IF your happy with the Blakes no point in changing, you certainly seem to fly around the tree using it, Your what i call a no nonsence climber you get up the tree and get it down fast, I like your style:thumbup:

Good vid, thanks for sharing.

The "spike" is a useful, if a little risky, cut.

I use it a lot on Lombardy pops

Sharp saw needed. The risk I see from it is the pushing arm inadvertently coming down on the chain.
