stronger truck springs required

tanks Mr. Lee, are you happy with the spring performance, ie; they are stiff enuf for the task ? Cheers.
Absolutely! Had the back of my motor full of oak rings before now and they handled it no problem with no obvious signs of it dragging it's back end. Towed a huge excavator on it's trailer that was nose heavy with no problems too.

 

The only downside is stiff springs equals a harsh ride when empty. Bounces over speed humps etc.

milner off road, changed my ranger from air suspension to h/d leaf springs,full to the gunwhales with green ash rings,looked like i had a bag of feathers in the back, bouncy when empty though

when i got it ,it had air suspension fitted, dug around in its history and it was a fire and rescue vehicle, found some pictures of it when it was new,the back had interchangeable pods(flood,caving,hazardous material etc) hence the air suspension to lower the back down to change the pods :thumbup1:

also found all the wiring etc for light bar , strobes etc., still had siren attached but not wired up.

the system was getting a bit tired so i put it back to conventional leaf springs
