Sleeve a bit of tube over then cable tie it. So the tube is grabbing more of the coils of the spring?:001_rolleyes::001_tongue:

Its not compression and extension along the axis of the coils thats the problem . Its excessive movement between the two halves of the saw body caused by dropping the saw on its strop which tends to bend the spring at right angles ( see my last pic ) . The cable tie is limiting the movement of the two halves of the saw ( in opposite directions ) without stopping the spring compressing or extending through the normal working range...

A sneaky but effective solution to your problem might just be swapping an ms200t anti vibe for the handle bar, the rubber one, for that junky husqvarna one?

Me thinks it would withstand lateral shock loads better.

Maybe I'll wait another two years before I replace my 200's with 540's!

Here is my attempt at making a limiter for the lower AV spring on the T540 . Very simple and quick . Wonder if it will work ? :001_smile:

Does it seen to be working mate?

My new av spring should be here next week
